Endoscopic Forehead / Brow Lift
Deep furrows on the forehead, frown lines over the eyes, drooping eyebrows and hood-like skin over the eyes are all conditions that can make you look older than you are - or feel. Whether age or heredity causes these conditions, a forehead lift (or brow lift) can give you a more youthful, animated and alert appearance.
Forehead lifts are usually performed under general anesthesia. Dr. LoVerme will make 3 small incisions, just behind the hairline. An endoscope is inserted and tissues are released and elevated. The corrugator (frown line) muscle may be removed. The small incision allows faster healing. Forehead and brow lifts may be performed alone, or along with other procedures such as a facelift or eyelid surgery.
Most patients are back to their normal routine within a few days, and back to work within one week. Strenuous exertion, which increases your blood pressure, should be avoided for about a month, along with prolonged exposure to heat or the sun.
