Breast Lift

Breast lift, or mastopexy, can recontour the breasts and literally lift them to create a firmer, more youthful bustline.
About Breast Lift Surgery
Dr. LoVerme combines art and science to give you the most natural looking results with only minimal scarring. Dr. LoVerme may suggest a "donut" mastopexy for you, which utilizes only one incision around the areola. The surgery for mastopexy usually takes one-and-a-half to three hours. Techniques vary; Dr. LoVerme may use an anchor-shaped incision following the natural contour of the breast. Many women are candidates for short incision techniques which eliminate the scar under the breast. After the initial incision, Dr. LoVerme will remove the excess skin that causes the breasts to droop. He will then re-shape the breasts and move the nipples to a higher position to ensure a more natural appearance. Once the breasts are balanced, Dr. LoVerme will suture the incisions.
Breast lift at our Northern New Jersey plastic surgery center is usually performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Although temporary swelling and bruising are common during recovery, most patients are able to return to their normal routines after about a week.
