Body
Leading a healthy lifestyle can go a long way toward keeping a lean and youthful-looking appearance. But sometimes diet and exercise just aren’t enough. Stubborn localized fat deposits, loose skin, and stretched-out muscles often keep people from having the kind of body that they want.
These are the kind of problems that can be addressed with plastic surgery. Body contouring procedures, such as liposuction and abdominoplasty, are performed by Dr. Paul LoVerme at our state-of-the-art plastic surgery center or in a nearby hospital.
The following are brief descriptions of some of our most common body contouring procedures, with links to more detailed explanations of the procedures. Contact our office for further information or to schedule a consultation.
Liposuction
Removing fat deposits through liposuction can help create a smoother, leaner appearance when diet and exercise alone are not enough. Dr. LoVerme uses the most advanced liposuction techniques for superior results, shorter healing times, and minimal patient discomfort. Commonly treated areas include the abdomen, flanks, hips, thighs, chest, neck, and upper arms. To learn more about tumescent liposuction, powered liposuction, laser liposuction (Smart Lipo), SAFE Liposuction, and VASER liposelection and how these techniques are performed, please visit our liposuction information page.
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Abdominoplasty, commonly known as a “tummy tuck,” is a surgical procedure to tighten and flatten the abdominal muscles and skin. By pulling stretched-out muscles back together, removing stubborn fat deposits, and eliminating excess skin, abdominoplasty restores a firm, lean appearance to the midsection for people who have had significant weight loss or women who have had multiple children. Visit our abdominoplasty page to learn more about this procedure.
Mommy Makeover
Becoming a mother is a wonderful journey, but it can take its toll on your body. The mommy makeover is a personalized combination of surgical procedures that may include breast lift, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, or liposuction, depending on your needs and goals. Giving you back the body that you had BC (before children) can boost your confidence, improve your self-image, and help you enjoy motherhood that much more. Learn more about mommy makeovers.
CoolSculpting®
Stubborn fat deposits in body areas along the midsection, including the lower back and hips (muffin top) and thighs, can often be reduced with the non-invasive CoolSculpting® procedure. This treatment involves the use of a cooling device pressed against the target areas which is designed to freeze and kill fat cells, and then expel them from the body through natural processes. CoolSculpting® can sometimes act as an alternative to liposuction for patients who are close to their ideal body weight but are having trouble eliminating excess fat in specific areas surrounding the midsection or thighs. Learn more about CoolSculpting®.
Brazilian Butt Lift™
A Brazilian Butt Lift™ (BBL) can give you more prominent, shapely buttocks by utilizing your own fat cells. With liposuction, Dr. LoVerme will extract excess fat from one area of your body and transfer it to the buttocks, effectively giving you two cosmetic enhancement procedures in one. After the procedure, the buttocks should have a more youthful and contoured appearance with results that are permanent.
Labiaplasty
Labiaplasty is a procedure for vaginal rejuvenation which focuses on reducing, reshaping, and/or repairing the labia minora for improved aesthetics and comfort. This procedure can accomplish a wide range of improvements to the female genital region, based on each patient’s personal needs and goals.
Skin Cancer
Dr. Paul LoVerme has extensive experience with a range of skin cancer and reconstructive procedures designed to remove serious threats to your health and minimize the visible effects of treatment.
Body Contouring After Weight Loss
Many obese patients realize that their condition and habits are threatening to their health. We see a lot of men and women who have lost body weight by diet and exercise, or through bariatric surgery. They feel better and are healthier, but have redundant, loose skin and want to complete their journey. Dr LoVerme has a vast experience in body contouring after weight loss.
