Endotine® Midface Device Enhances Facelift and Eyelid Lift

When the Endotine® Midface device was made available in early 2004, plastic surgeon Paul LoVerme, MD of The LoVerme Center immediately recognized the benefit this product had to his facelift and blepharoplasty patients. The Endotine® Midface implant significantly improves these procedures enabling Dr. LoVerme to work more efficiently, and ultimately to provide even higher quality results.

What is the Endotine® Midface device?

Modern facelift procedures make use of soft tissue fixation devices to hold the adjustment performed as the body heals. The Endotine® Midface device improves soft tissue fixation devices on two accounts. First, and most significantly, Endotine® Midface is a bio-absorbable implant, meaning that after it is carefully positioned it will dissolve into the body over a period of 6 to 12 months after the tissues have healed in their elevated position. Second, it improves upon other designs by using multiple points of fixation to suspend soft tissue, effectively distributing tension over a wider area and maximizing fixation strength.

What are the Benefits of an
Endotine® Midface Lift during a Lower Eyelid Lift?

Performing the Endotine® Midface procedure with a lower eyelid lift smoothes the eyelid/cheek junction for a more harmonious and youthful appearance. It also adds volume to the cheek using your own soft tissue instead of implants or repeated injections of dermal fillers.

Why Combine a Facelift with an
Endotine® Midface Lift?

Nearly 400,000 facelift procedures are performed annually throughout the world, a majority of which, are between the ages of 35 and 60. Many of these involve a midface lift. The Endotine® Midface device is especially helpful in facilitating the minor facial adjustments that this age range normally requires. The simple, effective design also offers the wonderful added benefit of increasing cheek volume in the process.
