Ultherapy® Skin Tightening

Many people who would like to rejuvenate signs of wrinkling on the skin may not need invasive surgery to achieve successful results. Wrinkling may say “experience,” but drooping says “tired.” If you’re starting to show some of the drooping and sagging that slowly accompanies an aging face, we have great news! Plastic surgeon Paul J. LoVerme, MD offers a non-surgical and non-invasive procedure that counters the effects of gravity on your skin. It’s called Ultherapy®.

What Is Ultherapy®?

Ultherapy® is an FDA-approved nonsurgical method of lifting and tightening the skin. By applying ultrasound energy to the target site, Ultherapy® can stimulate the natural production of collagen within the skin. After treatment with Ultherapy®, patients can enjoy smoother skin and a more youthful appearance.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Ultherapy®?

Interested in what Ultherapy® might be able to do for you? A good candidate for Ultherapy® is someone whose skin has relaxed to the point of looking and feeling less firm. Candidates may have loose or sagging skin in areas such as the neck, chest (décolletage), brow, or chin. Although Ultherapy® is not a replacement for cosmetic surgery, this nonsurgical treatment can effectively tighten the skin and smooth wrinkles.

Before you commit to treatment, you can use an exciting new technology called New Look Now® to virtually “try on” your potential results. This allows you the opportunity to see a “sneak peek” of what your face may look like with a more lifted appearance. Click on the image below to learn more.

How Is the Ultherapy® Treatment Performed?

ultherapy-system-300x283-300x283There are no needles and no downtime associated with this procedure – just tried and true ultrasound that gradually tightens and builds new collagen on the inside without disturbing the skin’s surface. Ultherapy® uses the body’s own regenerative response to gently and gradually restore memory to the skin and underlying tissue. A gradual tightening occurs, resulting in a natural lift of the skin to give you a fresher look over the course of two to three months.

Is Ultherapy® Painful?

Ultherapy® is a completely noninvasive procedure and Dr. LoVerme is careful to prevent potential discomfort during treatment. The treatment experience varies from patient to patient, but any sensation you feel during Ultherapy® should stop as soon as the procedure is complete. There are a number of ways we can help keep your comfortable during treatment, including oral pain medication and a topical numbing agents.

Are there any Ultherapy® Side Effects?

There is no downtime associated with Ultherapy® and most patients resume their normal daily activities immediately. Some patients will have a flushed appearance that lasts a few hours. Others may experience mild and temporary tingling, swelling, or tenderness. In rare cases, bruising or numbness may occur.

How Long Does Ultherapy® Last?

Though some change may be noticeable immediately after treatment, the results of Ultherapy® gradually develop over the course of two to three months as collagen production continues. Since each patient responds to collagen stimulation differently, there is no definitive duration for your final result. Many patients enjoy smoother, younger looking skin for one to two years. Follow up treatment sessions can be performed to further or maintain your results, if desired.

What Does Ultherapy® Cost?

Since every Ultherapy® treatment is customized to meet the needs of the patient, there is no fixed cost for the procedure. Variables that can impact the total cost of your treatment include which area is treated, the size of the treatment area, and the geographic location of the treatment facility. At The LoVerme Center, we offer several financing options for patients who could benefit from a low monthly installment plan or other flexible payment methods.
