New Jersey Plastic Surgeon’s Surgical Suite Receives NJDOH License

New Jersey Plastic Surgeon Receives NJDOH License for His Surgical Suite

The operating room at The LoVerme Center for Plastic Surgery meets the high standards and rigorous testing set forth by both the New Jersey Department of Health and the AAAASF.

Verona, NJNew Jersey plastic surgeon Paul J. LoVerme, MD, FACS announced that his state-of-the-art, in-office surgical suite located at The LoVerme Center for Plastic Surgery has recently passed all of the extensive surveys and inspections required for licensing from the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH). The ambulatory surgical facility closely adheres to the stringent hospital-level safety and patient care standards set forth by both the NJDOH and the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). Dr. LoVerme’s center has been accredited by the AAAASF since opening in 2001.

“The LoVerme Center for Plastic Surgery was founded on providing care characterized by a high regard for uncompromising safety, cleanliness, and quality,” says Dr. Loverme. Though he has never in 20 years had to transfer any patients to the hospital from his facility, as a responsible and experienced surgeon he is always looking for new ways to enhance safeguards and inspire the utmost confidence in his facility. He explains that his practice is “proudly devoted to protecting patient safety and well-being in all regards, and achieving NJDOH licensing and maintaining AAAASF accreditation for our in-office surgical suite are of paramount importance.” He adds that “receiving licensing from the NJDOH is an important milestone for us and, ultimately, it makes our operating room safer for everyone.” Dr. LoVerme strongly encourages any patients considering plastic surgery in New Jersey to make sure the outpatient facility where they will be operated on has its NJDOH license and AAAASF credentials.

The goal of the NJDOH is to protect patients and ensure consistent, high-quality care, and to that end the licensing process for ambulatory surgical facilities is comprehensive and intensive. Every aspect of how a surgical facility is overseen, staffed, equipped, run, and operated must be thoroughly investigated, and maintaining on-going licensing demands meticulous record-keeping and facility re-evaluation. Dr. LoVerme and his team are all well-versed in the NJDOH’s requirements and act in compliance with every guideline and process set forth by the respected body.

As a dual board-certified plastic surgeon since 1987, Dr. LoVerme’s philosophy has always centered around providing the highest level of surgical care to his patients. When he built his 4,200 square foot ambulatory surgical suite, he had his patients’ safety, comfort, and satisfaction in the forefront of his mind. For the benefit of those who choose him as their plastic surgeon, Dr. LoVerme is continuously updating the facility with the latest technology and equipment, as well as maintaining a highly trained and credentialed staff that is capable of delivering the superior care he is known for. Most importantly, all anesthesia—general and sedation—is always administered and monitored by a board-certified anesthesiologist.
